Persepolis is a memoir of Marjane Satrapi's life from ages 6 to 14. Although the graphic novel is considered autobiographical, Satrapi clarifies that the dialogue is recreated from her memories, so it isn't word for word; therefore, she hesitates to label the book completely autobiographical.
